Ash Singles and Clusters

The Ash singles form a 12-piece set of objects that can be used on their own or in clusters, addressing coffee, console, foyer and side table, bench, and stool programs. Created in response to regional manufacturing challenges, the collection uses diseased ashwood for the pedestals and either ashwood or patinated cast bronze for the tops. Every component is sourced, designed, and manufactured within 150-miles of STACKLAB’s studio. Wood shavings from the milling process are recycled, combined with reusable refractory sand, and then used to shape the mold for the optional bronze tops. As the metal is poured into this mold, the sawdust gets burned away, and the sand is reused, ensuring minimal waste. The end result is a metal top with a distinctive textured finish. Limited to 25 units per item, the Ash Collection is a collaborative effort between STACKLAB and its regional partners. Additionally, three artist proofs will be available in ashwood and solid-cast aluminum when the edition closes.
