Thicket Coffee Table – 9455

While at a blacksmith studio to work out the details of a stair railing intended to emulate the organic look of a twig fence, the artisan forged a reverse tapered piece of iron which captured the imagination of the designer. This forged sample was the catalyst for a series of twig inspired table bases including entrance tables, a customized desk, consoles and most recently, as seen in David Powell’s concept sketch, a coffee table. The resulting random & rambling Thicket Coffee Table continues to be hand forged and is photographed in a satin black finish with a stepped top in white mocha mahogany.
