Prisma Floor Lamp
Prisma Floor Lamp designed by Ignazio Gardella - 1960 The Prisma floor lamp, together with its Cubo variant, summarizes some of the archetypes used up to that time by Gardella; details that he would still use in many architectural projects and beyond, such as in the street lamps designed for Piazza San Babila. The popeline shade stretched over a metal frame, with brass corners and burgundy lacquer allow for a rigorously designed `lantern that gives off a soft, seductive light. The base a marble with four notches for cable passage, which lighten its presence, gives stability and balance to its forms.
