The Malaparte series by Giobagnara is a homage to the celebrated villa built by Adalberto Libera for the writer Curzio Malaparte - a gem of the late-Thirties Italian architecture. The line combines patinated metal and leather, contrasting materials, textures and tones. While its rigorously structured geometry simultaneously evokes a modernist spirit, the simplicity of Rietveld furniture, and the streamlined Japanese aesthetic, striking a balance between radicalism and sensuality.
