Born in Lozère, Emmanuelle Payard grew up in close contact with a raw territory and powerful landscapes that shaped her eye and sensitivity from an early age. Trained at the École Duperré and later at ENSCI, she developed a sensitive approach to drawing, color, texture, and emotion, before specializing in industrial weaving at the Ateliers Saint-Sabin. From this dual creative and technical rigor emerged a distinctive approach to carpet design. Guided by a strong intuition and an in-depth understanding of structures, constraints, and craftsmanship, Emmanuelle creates pieces in which the concept is never dissociated from its execution. For more than twenty years, she has been designing and developing collections for some of the world’s leading houses. At Tai Ping, she played an active role in the brand’s growth and international recognition within the luxury carpet sector, from residential projects to the most exclusive commissions, notably in the field of yachting.
