Kasane Table 31, 33, 35, 36

Literally “overlapping”, Kasane is the latest collection designed by the Japanese studio, Nendo. Thanks to a play on the weaving and overlapping of different elements, each product becomes a sculpture. Inspired by the way in which the cups, stacked one on top of the other, become gradually taller, the collection of poufs and tables is characterized by the rhythmic expression of the piled edges and by the material texture of the clay which defines the soul of the product. Bases structures are made of polymer foam, while the table top is marine plywood and covered with thin layer of clay in Terracotta, Sabbia, Giada or Pietra colours. Thanks to the final texture, the articles express material nature and a pleasant tactile sensation.
